MAKING HEADLINES AUDIO BOOK – Entire Novel

FINALLY – here it is! The audio book version of my novel MAKING HEADLINES in it’s entirety. For those who enjoyed the weekly instalments, thank you for taking the time to listen. And for those of you who were waiting till they could hear it ALL IN ONE GO in two audio files – here it is!

It has been a long journey, but an enjoyable one – bringing the words on the page to life with sound. Huge thanks to Alan Fletcher for his efforts; not only in voicing ALL the male characters in the book, but helping with the technical side of things which was occasionally complicated.

MAKING HEADLINES AUDIO BOOK – Chapter Nineteen

A saucy chapter ahead! Rachel finally has her day trip to the coast with Mitch which brings on a real ‘WILL THEY OR WON’T THEY?’ moment.

Will they or won't they?? What happens when Mitch takes Rachel on a day trip to the beach...
Will they or won’t they?? What happens when Mitch takes Rachel on a day trip to the beach…

Not to mention the outrageous conversation she has with her Boss, Helmut ,after he returns from a boozy lunch.

A more laid back week for Mr Fletcher – only four male characters for him to perform. And I must says he brings each one to life superbly!

MAKING HEADLINES AUDIO BOOK – Chapter Eighteen

AT LAST – Rachel finally gets to present her first EVER news bulletin!

Happy days for Rachel… or ARE they?

But all doesn’t go as well as she’d hoped. Could she blame her clumsy first bulletin on a frightening delivery to her desk only hours before?

Rachel had been warned by her new boos to be on her best behaviour!
Rachel’s co-reader isn’t as supportive as she would have liked on her debut news-reading night

On the upside, Mitch gives her another opportunity to spend some time with him and FINALLY she agrees.

Rachel is even making progress with the concept of making sensible decisions about her social life – ditching the nightclub scene and drinking with the girls for time with family – even though time with Lou is never going to be a picnic…

A challenging week for Alan Fletcher – having to voice TWELVE male characters. Not an easy task by any means but being the true professional he is, he does a sterling job.

Let me know your thoughts about this latest instalment in the comments section. Enjoy!

MAKING HEADLINES AUDIO BOOK – Chapter Seventeen

Some shocking news for Rachel in the Sunday newspaper – something she did NOT see coming… But ultimately, it means Damien has shown his true colours. Albeit very unexpectedly!

A real WTF moment for Rachel when she opens the Sunday papers…

A house-warming girls’ lunch at Rachel and Kate’s new home brings up some gossip as well as revealing some disappointing career news for Julia. It seems someone at Channel Six is ALSO showing their true colours!

As for Rachel’s stalker problem, Helmet’s attitude is disturbing and means Rachel isn’t allowed to go to the police. An ominous and unsettling outcome…

Enjoy this latest chapter and let me know your thoughts in the Comments section.

MAKING HEADLINES AUDIO BOOK – Chapter Sixteen

After the dramatic events of Chapter Fifteen, Rachel is now facing the consequences – not only for her erratic drunken behaviour at a high profile fashion show – but is also likely suffering from PTSD after the Collins Street bombing.

Rachel needs time-out after the trauma of reporting on the Collins Street bombing

On top of all that, a package arrives from Rachel’s Devoted Admirer X and it’s not from the gift emporium at David Jones.

And just when Rachel is feeling ready to tell her boss about her stalker’s latest delivery, he launches into a full-scale attack over her public pash. Mr Fletcher had fun playing this role – voicing Helmut Becker – but I’m sure it’s not the kind of language Dr Karl ever used!!

AND if you’re still missing Neighbours (don’t you love this flashback photo of Fletch and Jackie Woodburne!) at least you still get to hear the dulcet tones of Alan Fletcher in MAKING HEADLINES!
