Here’s a piece that was in the Sunday Herald Sun yesterday, by Luke Dennehy, about my new job at Smooth FM. Thanks Luke!

(Not so sure about that hair-do though… )

However, sometimes, I might just post an old photo for the heck of it – like now.

Flicking through some old pics, I came across an early photo of Fletch and I, taken about a year after we were married. Tom walked past as I sighed wistfully. He peered over my shoulder and said, ‘Wow, who are they?’ Of course he was joking….

And there’s more vintage stuff… After earlier publishing a photo of myself as a toddler, (see below) Fletch’s father sent across some vintage family pics and I thought it only fair he got a toddler profile too. And let’s face it, I bet none of you have seen Fletch like this before – quite possible the cutest bunny-boy in Australia…

HERE I IS!

HERE I IS!

I love this shot from when I was about three-years-old, purely because the expression is one of pure joy. Despite the bowl haircut and chubby cheeks…  It reminds me of a story my mother told me – about how I would walk into a room and announce ‘Here I is!’ and stretch out my arms as if expecting huge applause merely for my existence. Ah, the arrogance of youth… Regardless, I hope the photo and story give you cause to smile.

And I do have something for you that’s much more recent. This photo appeared in the lovely Luke Dennehy’s column in the Herald Sun last Sunday, featuring Fletch and our daughter, Veronica, at the movie premiere, ‘Rock Of Ages’ at Crown. Doesn’t she look gorgeous? Oh, and so does Fletch.

    • Hi Anne,
Thanks so much for your lovely message! My apologies for not replying till now but I don’t travel with my laptop and do all my ‘blog’ related work on that, so have only just seen this, now that we are finally home in Melbourne. We had a wonderful night in Dundalk and adored the Spirit Store! I loved that it matched the colour of my dress! (and yes, I managed to keep myself nice with the button issue – ha ha!) Thanks so much for your lovely feedback about our show and so glad we got to meet on the night. Hopefully we’ll be back next year.
      Best wishes,
      Jennifer.
