Here’s the CHAPTER TWO, Part Two, of my novel MAKING HEADLINES. I’m delivering weekly instalments in audio book form so you can listen for free and enjoy the story of Rachel Bentley and her challenges as a TV reporter – not to mention the hurdles she faces in her personal life!
In the second half of Chapter Two, we see Rachel move back into her mother’s house to live with her sister Lou and how that feels emotionally for her to be separated from Tim. As well, we hear how Rachel tackles her first big scoop involving a corrupt politician which involves a fiery confrontation. There’s also a scene involving a bit of URST (unresolved sexual tension) that’s developing between Rachel and a good-looking work colleague that doesn’t quite end in the way you might expect!
Alan Fletcher (as per usual in this audio book ) takes on the roles of the male characters in this chapter, voicing one character – State MP Leon Pannikos – so let me know what you think of his Greek accent! He also plays Mitch, the news editor and Tony, Rachel’s News Director boss. Take a listen and let me know what you think.
